In this 4-days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, you will have a wide range of wildlife discoveries and exploration. These are two of Africa’s top travel destinations, situated in Tanzania. Serengeti national park is famous for the annual wildebeest migration; an event where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and Impalas migrate to Masai Mara reserve in Kenya to search for water and foliage.
Ngorongoro crater is known for her largest caldera and variety of mammals; including Africa’s big 5 mammals namely the lions, cape Buffaloes, leopards, elephants and Rhinoceros. You will engage in the game drive, cultural experience with the Masai people, photography and hiking.
Detailed trip
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Serengeti national park
Upon landing at the airport, our company representative will meet and brief you about this 4 days tour, enlightening on the itinerary and responding to the questions you have. Thereafter, he will embark on a scenic drive to Serengeti national park, traversing rolling hills and green plantations.
Upon entering the park, expect to spot a few mammals, birds, and the stunning landscape of Serengeti national park as you drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and visit to the Masai people.
At dawn, a lip-smacking breakfast will be served before you head out for a rewarding 3-4-hour game drive in the vast Serengeti national park, where you will have the chance of watching different mammals such as the wildebeests, lions, leopards, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants and warthogs among others, stunning landscape, birds and various tree species.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for refreshment, followed by lunch and then an evening visit to the Masai people, who dwell on the outskirts of this massive park, but with very authentic cultural beliefs and performances. For the 1-2 hours of interaction, you will enjoy thrilling dances, songs, stories, and village tours, where you will visit the manyattas, and see their traditional tools. Dinner and overnight come as the last activities of the day.
Day 3: Depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro crater; afternoon game drive.
At sunrise, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge for a drive to Ngorongoro crater; hosting the world’s largest caldera. You will depart the park with a game drive as you proceed with a very scenic drive, crossing undulating hills, and jaw-dropping landscapes.
You can have the option of visiting the ancient Olduvai Gorge, where the bones of the first man ever to live on earth are believed to have been found. You will arrive at the pack for lunch, and then head for an evening game drive; hoping to see, if not all, then most of the prey and predators in this park, such as lions, leopards, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, plus other animals like wildebeests, impalas, zebras, rhinoceros and elephants among others. You will then call off the day with dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Hike to the Crater rim and Departure
On this day, you will explore the crater rim as soon as breakfast is done, having the opportunity to watch and take captivating photos on top of the world’s largest caldera. On a good day, chances are high that you can spot some mammals, primates, birds and reptiles in their hideouts.
2-3 hours will be the time spent here before having an amazing game drive while heading back to the lodge for lunch and departure.
