Overview.

This is an ultimate 20 days combined East African Holiday which opens your understanding into what wildlife is, what you were missing and the stories to tell your friends, relatives, children and lovers. The offer covers amazing destinations in Africa and is handled by knowledgeable tour guides, drivers and hospitality experts because by the end of it, you will appreciate what you have never appreciated.

You will visit Mabamba swamp for birding, Murchison falls; the world’s most powerful waterfalls; Kibale forest, primate world; Bwindi impenetrable forest hosting half of the world mountain Gorilla population; Lake Nakuru, a paradise for flamingoes; Masai Mara; Africa’s big 5 in Serengeti national park which is also a host of the great wildebeest migration; Ngorongoro crater with world’s largest caldera, and finally fun time at the white sand beaches, spice plantations and stone town at Zanzibar.

You will enjoy photography, cultural encounters, local dishes, cool weather and hospitality among others. The trip starts in Uganda and ends at Zanzibar-Tanzania.

Day 1: Arrival and Mabamba Island

On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will meet our company driver guide who will welcome you for the 20 – day holiday around east Africa. He will brief you about the entire trip, highlighting the things you should expect, posses, and how to behave in all the three countries.

Thereafter, you will have an early lunch, before heading to Lake Victoria; the third-longest lake on earth to find a canoe to Mabamba swamp, where you will spot the sought after shoebill stock, grey-rumped swallow, Madagascar bee-eater, African jacana, and Angola swallow among others, as well as taking amazing photos and enjoying the cool breeze from the lake. Thereafter, you will return to the hotel with a sunset drive for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park

You will wake up early in the morning to a yummy breakfast, before embarking on a 6-7 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park; the oldest game park in the country, hosting the most powerful waterfalls in the world.

The drive passes through busy streets, with an en-route stop stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a one-hour rhino tracking, the type of species found in Africa. You will then proceed to Masindi for lunch, before driving to the lodge, in or around the park for refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat cruise

on this day, you will have an exciting welcome by a beautiful sunrise, as you head to the northern sector in case you are in the south, with the earliest ferry, for a 3-4 hour game drive, in a quest for different wildlife species, starting with the prey and predators, such as the lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, Jackson hartebeest, warthogs, Uganda Kobs and cheetahs among others; birds such as the crested cranes, egrets, Egyptian Turaco and geenefowls among others; unique tree species such as the whistling acacia, Borasa among others, and the stunning landscape.

After the game drive, you will have a bush breakfast, followed by lunch and a boat launch to the bottom of the falls, where you will glance at the thundering waterfalls as it squeezes itself through a 7 – meter gorge to the Nile River.

You will also have the opportunity of taking interesting photos, spot the Nile crocodiles, and several Hippos by the river bank.  When all is done, you will drive back to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Top of falls visit and Transfer to Kibale Forest national park

On this day, you will depart the lodge early in the morning after breakfast for a top of the falls tour which will expose you to the real falls, and the rainbow, before driving to Kibale forest national park; the primate world for chimpanzee trekking the next day.

The journey lasts for 8-9 hours while watching green plantations, the locals carrying on with their daily chores, and the rolling hills. You will have an en-route stopover for Lunch, and any shopping, before entering the park for dinner and a nap.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Isunga cultural encounter- top of the world tour

You will respond to a birds rise to call for morning breakfast, before heading for an approximately 1-5 hours’ chimpanzee trekking at the park, which starts very early in the with registration and briefing by the park rangers, before escorting you to the Jungle, covered by different melodies, nests and over 13 unique primate species, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, the red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked monkeys among others.

Chimpanzees are humans’ close relatives with over 98% human DNA, and trekking is fun as you them play, feed and make different unforgettable sounds.

After the one hour assigned to you, return for lunch and a brief nap, before visiting Isunga cultural community, where you will be entertained with local dances or taken to the Top of the world where you will catch a clear view of the sunset, before driving to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

On this day, you will have a delicious breakfast, before departing Kibale forest national park for Bwindi impenetrable national park; home to half of the worlds endangered mountain gorilla population.

You will have a smooth ride, but with an enroute stopover for lunch, followed by late evening arrival at the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking and Batwa encounter

On this day, you will get your breakfast done very early in the morning to catch up with the registration and briefing time at the sector headquarters at 8:00 am. The park ranger takes the opportunity of the briefing time to lecture members on the dos and don’ts while with the Gorillas, verify the documents, and allocate everyone to a gorilla family of their choice.

Gorilla trekking involves searching for the apes through the thick bushes, traversing hills and slopes to wherever they are feeding, relaxing, or playing. It can last for up to 6hours, depending on your speed and the direction the creatures have moved.

After utilizing the one hour allowance, return to the lodge for lunch, and some refreshment, before deciding either to rest or visit the Batwa pygmies outside the park. The Batwa are among the few original cultural symbols in the world, upholding and strongly practicing their ancient cultures amidst the pressure of modernity. They are the shortest people in Uganda and make their visitors smile because of their height, stories and dances. End this day with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Flight transfer to Nairobi – Kenya

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a drive to Entebbe international airport but with an en-route stopover at the equator; a line which crosses only 13 countries worldwide, for photography, lunch, and to witness the magical proof that the line truly exists.

Thereafter, you will proceed to the airport to find a flight to Nairobi, where our company representative will be gladly waiting to receive and brief you about the Kenya destinations, before taking you for a dinner meal and a nap at the lodge.

Day 9: Depart Nairobi to Lake Nakuru national park

A 2-3 hours’ familiarization tour around Nairobi city will be the first thing this day, followed by late breakfast, before embarking on a 5-6 hours’ drive to Lake Nakuru national park; one of the most visited destinations in Kenya and a birder’s haven.

You will spend time watching the Great Rift Valley, plantations and rolling hills during the journey, which will have an enroute stopover for lunch, before proceeding to your lodge, in and around the park, for refreshment as you wait for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Game drive and birding

You will start this day with breakfast, before heading for a full day game drive and birding experience around the park.  The first 4-5 hours will be good enough for you to spot at least one of your favorite games from any of these; lions, elephants, the wildebeest, cheetah, giraffe, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and oribis among others, but not ignoring the fascinating landscape.

Afterwards, you will have a lunch break, followed by a birding opportunity by the Lake Nakuru shoreline, and decorated by flamingoes, egrets, kingfishers, vultures, and several other unique bird species.  You will enjoy a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Masai Mara national reserve

You will check out of the lodge after breakfast for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Masai Mara national reserve, crossing green vegetation and rolling hills. There will be a 30minutes stopover at the Great Rift Valley for photography and sightseeing, before another stopover at the Narus trading center for lunch.

After lunch, you will hit the road to the lodge at the park for some rest, dinner and overnight

Day 12: Full day game drive

Your day will be fully spent in the vast savanna grassland of Masai Mara national park, with both breakfast and lunch in the wild. You will look out for the early risers and the night hunters roaming in search of pasture, prey, and water. Some of the notable residents include lions, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, elands and elephants among others.

The visit to Mara River will also expose you to a true wealth of hippos, crocodiles, and several unique bird species such as the kingfisher, egrets, and flamingos among others, but not forgetting several mammals quenching their thirst by the lakeshore.

At nightfall, you will enjoy a sunset drive to the lodge for refreshment, followed by dinner and overnight

Day 13: Depart Masai Mara national park for Serengeti national park

On this day, you will first greet your intestines with a yummy breakfast, before checking out of the lodge for an epic drive to Serengeti national park in Tanzania. You will have document verification at the Kenya-Tanzania border post, followed by lunch, and evening arrival at the lodge.

Dedicate the evening to an exciting game drive which gives you the opportunity of spotting different mammals retiring from grazing and nocturnals heading out to hunt. You will call off this day with breakfast and dinner at the lodge.

Day 14: Morning Game drive and Masai cultural encounter

After breakfast, you will spend half of the day traversing the park while admiring the beautiful vast landscape, undulating hills, the rare tree species, and the unique biodiversity. With luck on your side, you will be able to tick off prey and predators notably the lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, elephants, rhinos, warthogs, and several others, plus rare bird species such as the flamingoes in the 4-5 hours’ game drive.

Later in the day, you will return for a lip-smacking lunch at the lodge, followed by a visit to the Maasai community; famous herdsmen who have resisted modernity in all its forms, and take visitors through thrilling dances, songs, stories, and village walk among others, up to the time of having a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 15: Morning guided nature walk and transfer to Ngorongoro crater

On this day, you will Wake up like a king for a yummy breakfast, before going for a1-2hour guided nature walk around the flora, and designated areas in the park to stretch your legs, enjoy vitamin D and learn of different plant species.

Afterwards, freshen up and checkout of the lodge for a drive to Ngorongoro crater while traversing Jaw-dropping sceneries to the lodge. You will arrive at the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16: Game drive and top of the crater hike

You will start your day with a mouth-watering breakfast, before heading for an early morning game drive where you have the chance to witness the beautiful landscape, unique tree species, primates, and different mammals; some feeding, resting or even hunting.

Ngorongoro crater is an asylum for Africa’s big 5, namely the elephants, leopards, rhinoceros, buffalos, and lions, as well as the largest concentration of ungulates; notably the wildebeest, zebras, impalas and gazelles and others.

Thereafter, you will have a mouth-watering picnic lunch, followed by an evening hike to the crater rim; where you will have the feel of spending 2-3 hours on top of the world’s largest caldera. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery; watch the roaming birds; primates and mammals, and take photos, to the time of heading back to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 17: Transfer to Zanzibar- stone town tour

You will wake up early in the morning for a yummy breakfast, before checking out of the lodge for a drive to the airport for a flight to Zanzibar, where you will explore, have fun and relax.

Upon landing at Zanzibar airport, you will meet our driver guide who will brief you about the entire trip, before taking you for lunch and a rewarding city town around the stone town decorated with ancient Arab dilapidated architectures.

You will visit the house of wonder, Zanzibar museum, and the cathedral which was formerly used as a slave trade market, before driving to the lodge for a feast and a nap.

Day 18: Zanzibar Red Colobus monkey tracking and spice plantation tours

At daybreak, you will head for an exciting red Columbus monkey trekking; the only species in East Africa, at Jozani Chwaka national park. It all starts with a briefing, before disappearing in the jungle for 1-4 hours in search of these playful apes, which will require some swiftness to matchup their pace and movements.

Afterwards, leave the park for lunch, and afternoon spice plantation tour, where you will see and taste the different spices, such as the cinnamon, apple, ginger, fruits, and lipstick plant among others. You will then drive back to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night.

Day 19: Full day white sand beach fun

After your relaxed breakfast, you will head to the beach to spend the entire day having fun at the white sand beach; diving; swimming; meditating by the calm waters; reading a novel; admiring your photos; taking photos, sport fishing and many more activities available. You will have different kinds of seafood for lunch, where dinner and overnight stays will mark the end of this day. 

Day 20: Departure

This is your departure day, and depending on your flight time, you will wake up at your own time and then enjoy breakfast, before checking out of the lodge for an exciting drive to the airport for your flight home, or to the next destinations. Thank you for trusting us with your holiday.
