Detailed itinerary
You will meet your driver-guide at the hotel after breakfast and start a journey to Arusha national park. On arrival, you will head in the common room and start a short briefing about the park where you will learn more about this conservation area. The park is the nearest conservation area from Arusha town and it is only 25km apart.
It was established in 1960 and it covers an area of 552sq. kilometres. It is home to a large population of giraffes in Africa, with no predators, has variety of primates, rare herbivores among others. Among others are giraffes, zebras, antelopes, colobus monkeys, olive baboons and warthogs.
The park is featured with mainly three attractions and these include Ngurdoto crater which is 3km wide, Mount Meru which is the second-highest peak in Tanzania and different coloured Momella lakes. It is blessed with over 400 species of birds and among others include the falcons, eagles and derailments cuckoo.
You will then head for a game drive which will be followed by lunch and then a nature walk that will end at around 18:00hours, then transfer back to Arusha town in a hotel or airport. This will be the end of 1 day Arusha tour.
